December is a busy month at Acklam Park.

As well as the usual rugby matches there are also plenty of other things going on:

14 December is the charity disco for the Give a Child a Christmas Appeal. The event starts at 6pm and will be Christmas themed. To help raise as much as possible to help the Children enjoy their Christmas, there will be raffles, blind cards, charity buckets etc. It is free to enter so get down and support this wonderful charity event. 17 December is the Christmas quiz. The quiz starts at 8:30pm.

19 December is Christmas Carol singalong night. As the sign says “Westwood’s leading song proceedings”…great effort. Might submit that to tawdry joke Tuesday on Radio Tees. The night will kick-off at 7:30pm with the Christmas carol singalong starting at 9pm.

27 December the young ones (over 30s) play the even younger ones (under 30s) in the an inaugural under 30s v over 30s inter-club match. The match is due to KO at 6pm. Surely, some additional Christmas festivities will follow.

31 December and Acklam Park says goodbye to the old and welcome to the new when they host their annual New Years Eve Party. This year the live music will be performed by Sandy Smith. Sandy was the Corporate Entertainer Winner 2020 and has performed internationally. Expect a variety of covered songs from Cilla Black, Lulu, Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, the Beatles and much, much more….

So as you can see. Plenty going on down at Acklam Park in December. Get yourself down and have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas.
