Apologies in advance for this report as I wasn’t at Parc du Acklam for the match, I was at the other Match of the Day watching Robbie and Lauren Small get married. Congratulations from all of us at MRUFC
Middlesbrough 65 Keswick 19
Straight from the kick off good hands sees the ball end up with wing Harry Bryce who dummies the full back to score, Andrew Baggett knocks over the con 7-0
Another cracking try following some good interplay sees Sean Joseph score in the corner 12-0
Following on from last week a catch and drive is steered over the line for Joe Sawdon to score 17-0
A strong scrummage sees Adam Marron pick up from the base, throwing a dummy and scoring, Baggy converts 24-0
From the ensuing kick off, some good hands sends Pete Homan through a gap and he feeds to Jack Luke to score, con good 31-0
Still in the first half some super off loads are finished off by Ali Lang 36-0
Another strong scrum and more good hands sees James Walker dive over under the posts 43-0
Our visitors score a cracking try and the con makes it 43-7
Back come The Boro, another catch and drive is pushed over for Josh Lynas to score. Baggy adds the extras and Half Time arrives Boro 50 Keswick 7
First try of the second half comes when Pete throws a long pass to Harry Bryce for his brace. 55-7
Keswick reply after a kick and catch 55-14
More good hands, including a great offload from Brendan Hill sees skipper Pete dive over to score 60-14
Try for Keswick in the corner 60-19
Sean Joseph then blazes over from half way beating 3 defenders to make the final score Middlesbrough 65 Keswick 19
